Sierra American Soccer Association Kicks Off 2009 Season In Grand Style

The Sierra American Soccer Association (SASA) kicked off it 2009 season on the 23rd  May 2009 in grand style. The S.A.S.A Soccer League is organized by Sierra Leoneans based in Maryland, U.S.A. who where former professional soccer players and people who are involved with soccer in the United States.

 

It’s board members are Rashid Alami, Didi Abu former Lions, Sierra Fisheries, and Leone Star National Team player, Isaac Kamara Sports promoter and player agent, Abdulai Rahim, Brima Togo former Freetown United, and Eastern Lions goal keeper, Henry Johnson Team President, Idriss Lamin Kamara former Port Authority and Eastern Lions Player, Moris Kesebeh, Abdul Kabba Former Crystal Palace USA and DC United Academy Coach.

 

The league is design to promote the talent of Sierra Leoneans and other Africans youth players who are  based in  Maryland, Virginia, and Washington DC area to professional soccer scout and teams and  to the service of their National teams. Most of the teams in the league comprise of different nationalities like Jamaicans, Senegalese, Liberian, and Sierra Leoneans clubs teams which make the league an International League and it comprise of players from all over the world.

 

The league kicked off with Ital F.C. dominating Sierra Delta to a 4-2 win of there first game of the season. Femi Gordon and Osman score the two goals for Sierra Delta and Okala 1, Backar 1, and Pablo score 2 goals for Ital F.C. and Ital goal keeper Aiah Tongu was crown man of the match.We will bring you more results  and updates as the league progresses
