From Standard Times Press News Paper POLITICS The perennial nemesis of the Democratic Party has resurfaced again with one of the candidates for the leadership of the party failing to yield to the rules of the game. As a result, the malady of divisiveness appears ready to tear the Democrats apart, opening the door for a potential Republican victory in November. By whatever statistical calculations and permutations, the chances of Senator Hilary Rodham Clinton becoming the nominee of the Democratic party are, at best, slim and gone. But she continues to fan the flames of divisiveness with a perceived reckless abandonment. Why she continues to behave in this manner is now the subject of many discussions all over the world.
Senator Hilary Rodham Clinton is an accomplished and highly respected American with impeccable democratic credentials. She is highly educated, articulate, professionally committed, socially and politically conscious, hardworking, dedicated to human interest causes, assertive, analytical, energetic and visionary.
Senator Hilary Rodham Clinton has acquired a wealth of experience in both the private and public sectors. She worked with the congressional impeachment committee that investigated the late President Richard M. Nixon, the Rose law firm in little Rock and a prestigious law firm in Washington, D.C., served as First Lady and is now a second term Senator from the state of New York. While these are extremely laudable achievements,
SENATOR HILARY RODHAM CLINTON HAS NEVER PERSONALLY SERVED AS EITHER PRESIDENT OR VICE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA (USA). BEING THE FIRST LADY, AN UNELECTED ROLE DID NOT MAKE HER PRESIDENT. SHE MAY HAVE INFLUENCED HER HUSBAND BUT IT WAS NOT PUBLIC KNOWLEDGE THAT SHE MADE THE PRESIDENTIAL DECISIONS. In essence, Senator Clinton’s experience factor is seriously over played in the sense that she has not been able to use her professed experience to overshadow Senator Barrack Obama relative to policy formulation/understanding, articulation of worldly matters, character and integrity. Senator Clinton is approximately 14 (fourteen) years older than Senator Obama. A strong case could, therefore, be made to equalize their experiences especially when one considers the fact that Senator Clinton is WHITE/FEMALE and Senator Obama is BLACK/MALE in a race conscious and sensitive nation. Whatever the outcome, history will be made.
In an environment like the one alluded to above, it is both unrealistic and a “pipe dream” for Senator Clinton to fathom the thought that the Democratic National Committee will deprive Senator Obama of the nomination when the whole world knows that he has more delegates than Senator Clinton.
The perceived divisiveness strategy and intransigence that is currently practiced by Senator Clinton has brought very painful memories of the years, the Clinton’s spent at the White House. The Democrats are now recalling the unequivocal support they gave the Clintons, during the white water investigations and the Monica Lewinski saga. They are of the viewpoint that the Democratic Party’s chances of recapturing the White House should not be undermined by the Clintons.
Senator Clinton must be careful not to continue to offend, antagonize or alienate a population that is most vital for her present and future success in politics. In essence, Senator Clinton has created the opportunity for her political image to be tarnished.
Hopefully, Senator Clinton will see the light to throw in the towel. It will benefit her, the Democratic Party and the citizens of the United States of America © Copyright by www.standardtimespress.net |
