It is with great sadness that the family of Hannah Barrie (nee Jallo-Jamboria)
Hannah Barrie(Nee Jallo-Jamboria) rest in peace
age 42 years (16 October 1966), announce her passing on Friday May 9, 2008 at The Connaught Hospital, Freetown after a caesarean operation at The PCM “Cottage” Hospital. The late Hannah Barrie worked as a well-respected Nurse at the  PCM and Connaught hospitals , but her proudest roll was not only as a mother to her three children but her passion in helping the sick get medical attention. Hannah’s conviction in contributing to Sierra Leone’s failing health sector gave her the courage and strength to return home after successfully completing her nursing in Milan, Italy and London, United Kingdom two years ago.

 

Hannah’s greatest joy was to be there for her children and provide a loving home for her husband and family. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 20 years Abu Bakarr ‘Adidas’ Barrie and their three beautiful children: Sahid, Haja Humu, and Hannatu Bintu who she so deeply loved. Hannah is also survived by her loving parents Alhaji Umaru Jallo-Jamboria and Mamie Rakiatu Jallo-Jamboria of 3B Jenkins Lane, her Brothers Alpha, Dauda Othman in Belgium and Sheku Jallo-Jamboria, Sisters Aminata Timothy Foreka, Haja Ramatu Koroma and Fatmata Jallo-Jamboria in Winnipeg, Canada. In-laws, David Mahdi Koroma and Timothy  Foreka .She was buried  Saturday 10th May 2008 at The Kissy Road Cemetery after prayers at The Fullah Central Mosque at Magazine Cut in Freetown.
