From Standard Times Press News Paper Busy Bee The disappointment of Bee on certain people in this republic is really unbearable especially those that have taken politics as the be-all and end all of their lives. Bee knows that even the peace we are now enjoying is a menace to their comfort because they can only survive where and when there is in trouble. While some patriotic citizens like Bee and others anticipate peaceful elections on August 11, other are yearning for trouble. For the past months Bee has not only concentrated on flying all over the country but has also glued his tiny ears to all radio stations in this republic. For days now Bee has been attentively listening to Kwame Ben Carew of Radio UN’s discussion programme popularly, ‘The machine’. At the pick of this interesting programme, Bee was surprisingly heard from a caller who allegedly said a group of trouble shooters are currently encamped in Kailahun waiting August 11 Election Day to unleash terror on voters in this republic. If it were in Bee’s Kingdom where security is paramount, such people would be in a tight corner to give the true story. ‘The machine’ should ask this person questions like, which part in Kailahun district these alleged trouble shooters are? Who brought these trouble shooters into the country? When and how? Etc. Anyway there is no way that Bee and its Beelets can work on such blind news or better put, negative propaganda.
The Day Pa ‘Supermo’ Listens to Bee The day Pa Supermo realizes that his term of office as the ‘Torkpoi’ party flag bearer is over; the party will surely rebounce to march towards victory in the forthcoming general elections. Although Bee knows that most African politicians are selfish and greedy and are only interested in personnel benefits, yet Bee is confident that Pa Supermo will not tow the line. Bee will not accept or deny what has been whispered to him by some noisy talkies that the Supermo is still pushing this most unpopular foreign minister (Momodu K) in Solo B’s throat to choose him as running mate. The primary elections for the “Torkpoi” party are ongoing smoothly but the danger is that of the running mate to Solo B. If the Supermo says because he brought the ‘Torkpoi’ party to victory in 1996 so he should go back with it by imposing Momodu Koroma as running mate to Solo B, is obviously a very bad decision. We all know how Solo B is over working himself only to change the negative mentality of some people against him. To put another head ache on him is really… really like being 6ft bellow.
Acha and the Bull Cocaine Deal Whoa folks do you know the news? Well this morning Bee’s tiny ears have caught attention of breaking news about a cocaine deal involving…No Bee will come back. In the midst of this breaking story, citizens opined that today it’s a Nigeria, tomorrow a Gambia, the other day a Russian and another time a Cameroonian and so on and so forth. What is most disheartening to the patriotic creature is that chief of all police officers in this republic Mr. Acha and his ‘Kotor’ Blue boys supposed to arrest and prevent crime in this republic are the very ones who abate such criminal tendencies in this republic. Salone has now become an international transit point where unscrupulous deals of cocaine transactions go on ‘fit-fata aided by the SLP and Airport Authorities. This is a real disgrace to Mama Salone. Folks the recent catch of drugs at the Lungi Airport that involved an Oga (Nigerian man) and a Gambian must be reminders of the state of security in the country. What Bee is finding difficult to believe is the damage involved. The boss of the Airports, Bull, says the content carried 84 Kg while Acha’s henchman, Lappia said the contrary stating it to be 70 Kg. Who is fooling who, I asked? Acha must know that he can fool some people sometimes but he cannot fool all the people all the time. Bee can fully remember well how dozens of such Diamba, cocaine catches by the police have ended in the pockets of…No Bee is afraid for Acha because he does not want him to blow off his tiny head. Bee wants you to remember the other day when a huge consignment of cocaine miraculously disappeared in this republic’s reading court? The court clerks and others in that deal are now millionaires with mansions and hummers, the latest American model car. If Bull had been a wise man, like the wise Old Bee, the best he could have done was to strike a deal with Acha and the matter becomes ‘yours truly’ Who is going to become another dollar king is your guess. But mind you Acha, Bee has his eyes widely open like a ‘mountain fat foot’ You can never hide from Bee and God. All these ‘tifi-tifi’ will one day reach your Waterloo Trust Bee!
Choosing Party Running Mates The oldest and wisest creature Busy Bee can categorically state without consulting any political scientist or analyst that the choice of a political party running-mate is very crucial to the parties and the nation as a whole. Bee believes that this is the more reason why the two leading parties in this republic, the Sierra Leone Peoples Party (SLPP) and the All Peoples Congress (APC) have up to date not appointed their running-mates. If what has been whispered to Bee is anything to go by, then both parties will have their running mates announced before the end of this month. This news came to Bee as a welcoming development but the creature is also very worried and skeptical whether the exercise will be done in national interest. Folks as you are quite aware; the situation has been tense for moths in the two leading parties with various names coming up. Despite the leaders have their men of choices, Bee wants to re-echo that the choice of a running mate is very crucial to state governance because Bee wants you to know that every running mate is a potential vice president if he or her party wins. Who will imagine the likes of Dr. I.I.Tejan Jalloh of PMDC to become a Vice President in our republic? Over Bee’s dead carcass. Although Bee is not aware of the criteria the parties have set to determine their running mates, yet Bee wants to caution all those involved in the process to do so in the national interest. Remember the national pledge! “…………… put her interest about all else…………..” Think wisely, choose wisely! A word for the wise is quite sufficient
Bee Goes to Lecture Room on Gaima Folks, don’t say your undisputable professor of every thing Busy Bee did not tell you that he is back from the east, the home of that two mouthed man of the government decentralization secretariat ‘Ngor’ Gaima. Bee brought a container of interesting stories about him that can properly digest him in a lecture room. You know Solo B and Charley boy have visited the two universities (NUC and FBC colleges to lecture students on various topics. However though Bee is not a politician but will soon be at the Kennedy Building on FBC campus to give a special lecture to students a title on the activities of Ngor Gaima. To wet your appetite, Bee will give you an introductory topic on Ngor Gaima which covers his days as a lecturer in the social sciences department. Bee used to admire Ngor Gaima very much for his antagonistic outburst against the SLPP. Ironically Bee never realized that Gaima is one of the most unreliable ill-educated and deceptive and nefarious people this republic has ever got. Having gone through his history, Bee finally concluded that nobody should blame Gaima for his loose mouth because he inherited it like a disease from birth he cannot control. He has done it to the #1 and 2 men in this republic, gossiping people, ha! ha!-ha! So who else? Lies, bogus talks, selling jobs for his flesh, frustrating others, undermining and boot licking, all are associated with him. What Bee wants to tell his friend is that let him don’t worry. Bee is ready to address more of these negative vices of this SLPP dude.
