From Standard Times Press News Paper Busy Bee
Ha! ha! ha!, wonders never end. When Bee got the story how PAPA chop chop deal backfired the creature laughed and laughed and fell down at PZ. Bee believes in the old maxim “what goes round comes round”. Sometime last year, Bee went to pour libation to his forefathers in their native shrine to pray for redemption for Mama Salone to extinguish from the cloches of corrupt elements in this republic. Thank God, the prayer was answered and all of them will be exposed one by one, mark this! Corrupt people have started exposing themselves. The case between Madam Kona Koroma, the Ministry of Development permanent secretary and Mr. Samuel Bangura, former Director of People’s Agenda for Poverty Alleviation (PAPA) at Sander Street, Freetown. Mr. Bangura was sacked sometime time last year for chopping a huge amount of money meant for the development of this impoverished country. The former Director was sacked on the condition that he refunded the money on installment. He started paying the money but later stopped without completing payment. It has been whispered to Bee that Mr. Bangura is bragging all over the city that he will no longer pay that remaining amount on the grounds that others have chopped state funds without paying back a single cent. “ Kona Koroma chopped, I chopped but why is she harassing me to pay back?” ..eh Bee knew that Bangura was not going to abide by the condition of returning the money because the man was even reluctant to return properties belonging to the organization. Bee was among the team that went to his house at Bishop Drive in Lumley to retrieve the van ABF837; and the ‘mammy cus upon mammy cus’ ‘fet upon fet’ Bee only wonders if Dr. Sylvia Blyden was not aware of the ‘cuscas’ since she lives in the house. Mr. Bangura if you think Salone money is free for all corrupt elements, Bee will tell you that you are mistaking. Bee will hunt you even to your grave if you fail to pay back that money. If you are bragging that Kona Koroma will not remove a thread from you coat Bee will do so soon, mark this!
Like Atiku like Joe Demby If Joe Demby was a wise man like other medical doctors in this republic, he would have come to his senses to realize that he is going to fail like the former vice president, Atiku Abubakarr to outgoing President Obasanajo in Nigeria. In fact the scenario of Atiku is more respectable than to that of “Ngor” Joe Demby’s who was lifted from grass to grace by Pa Kabbah under the “Torkpoi” party. We all know that “Ngor” Joe Demby was sacked because of inefficiency (non performance). Bee and Beelets in Gerihun, the home of “Ngor” Joe Demby organized a three -day Goboi dance to show their ‘appreciation’ over the down fall of their brother. When Bee visited the Gerihun people in the south, they whispered to Bee that the only benefit that they the received during Joe Demby’s era as vice president was provocation from other people. Joe Demby’s behaviour to the “Torkpoi” party is a complete manifestation of deceit. Joe Demby is ‘buff’ with no political charisma. Perhaps to the PMDC, Charley Boy sees something good in Joe Demby just like the other bunch of disgruntled politicians forming the party. Bee is not against their decision of disgruntled politicians joining the orange colour party but Bee hates hearing these opportunists defaming their former political party which a good number of them gained a lot. Bee knows that the likes of Joe Demby, the ‘Toes man’ and others now in the PMDC are the nation’s destroyers, not to talk about running mate, I.I Tejan -Jalloh. Bee will bet its tiny life that no PMDC member will point his or her fingers at any thing in this nation to convince voters to give them responsible positions. Their only campaign language is SLPP has not done this and that without proffering any solution to nation development. Only a stupid man or woman will listen to this kind of old political rhetoric and false promises to gain power.
St. Helena turns Diamba pot for female pupils Folks, don’t say Bee told you that the St. Helena Secondary school in the east end of Freetown has been turned in to the home of bad girls. It you doubt ask the vice Principal Mr. Gborie. He will tell that very recently he caught four girls smoking cannabis sativa (Diamba) in the school’s toilet. Bee too was a witness to this home of bad pupils but the creature kept sealed lips over the issue because it will give bad name to the school. But, the only thing that Bee will not keep under the carpet is the sour relationship between the two heads of the school, Principal Oladipo Venn and his vice, Mr. Gborie. Bee knows that Venn is one of the oldest serving principals in this republic. He has contributed to “Book learning bizness” in this republic for which Bee will give him the accolade. But of late, Bee detected that Oladipo Venn is a bad example in Bee’s kingdom who is more of a dictator or a benevolent if PMDC will borrow me their ‘leadership slogan’. But for this latest episode, almost all the teachers in the school were happy about the treatment Venn gave to Mr. Gborie when he caught those four Diamba girls in the school. Mr. Gborie thoroughly investigated the matter and found the girls wanting. He invited the parents of the girls to the school. On their arrival ……no Bee will not tell you what happened after that because Mr. Gborie will not want to hear this any longer. If you promise Bee to keep the secret Bee will tell you that Oladipo Venn molested Mr. Gborie in front of the parents. To some of the teachers, Mr. Gborie was paid with his coin because they considered him as a bootlicker to Venn so that he can recommend him (Gborie) when his (Venn) time of service expires. But Bee will not deny or accepts what was whispered that Venn had a hidden relationship with one of the girls. Venn was supposed to retire last year but his time was shifted to next year when the school will be celebrating its 100th anniversary but Bee wonders if it will work because nobody talks about that in the school.
State awards: drivers not considered Salone is 46years, three days old, just the same with Bee last son Bondokulegbeh. Friday 27th April was a day of historic reflection and merriment even though most people in their own opinion had no reason to jubilate because Salone is the poorest in the world. The wise creature Busy Bee knows that there is dignity in poverty for which reason Busy Bee sees reason to drink, dance and pray in happiness for our freedom. To Bee we are all responsible for Salone problems not only the politicians. The independent day was marked by so many events but the one that caught Bee’s imagination most was the state award. When Bee got the news that Pa Kabbah was going to give award to distinguished people in this republic, Bee was flabbergasted because prior to the day, news had eclipsed the nation that Pa Kabbah was dead and Solo B paralyzed. Bee was the first guest to enter the state house. The ceremony was marked with mix feelings among participants. Many people received the award including Bee as a send off ceremony for the out going president. Disappointingly, among those who were not considered for the award were drivers especially those attached to state Lodge including Pa Kabbah’s no. 1 driver. We all know that Pa Kabbah is the chief driver in this republic. Not recognizing drivers for such awards on that day has clearly told us that drivers are less important in this republic, in fact not qualified to gain state awards. Shame on you Pa Kabbah, the chief driver. Weep Pa Sillah, the president of the drivers’ union.
