Do these three letters ‘A.P.C’ ring a bell loud enough for you to hear? If everyone does, what then is wrong with Dr. Sama “Puawui” Banya and his cohort in the APC of the 70s to the 90s? Some may say it is old age. Wow! People easily forget even their partners and products. Well, to do justice to wisdom requires that he be reminded again and again and again…..and…especially as he tries to make himself a critic of a family that he worked hard to build. He needs to make this clear to the new people newspaper. As an old man, he needs to know that there is no way you can seek to disgrace your faithful wife and not share in the disgrace.

First, I need to let you know that, thankfulness is an attitude that we cannot do without and still expect to experience joy and peace of mind. Everything takes on a higher degree of value when you are genuinely thankful for it. APC had done a lot for you.

In life, it is almost impossible to be extremely ungrateful for the simple fact that you (Dr. Banya) had been bless with a wonderful political career and at the same time be upset about all of the things that the APC does which you do not like.

 Our minds are not very good at focusing on two different things at the same time. Therefore, you have the choice - you can choose to focus writing negatively against the APC for the things you help do or you can choose to be thankful for the positives things the APC had done for you and the country especially when the likes of you vanished from its stage. Which choice do you think will improve the quality of your politicking and the nation of Sierra Leone?

Dr. Banya, I need some answers from you… When was the last time you took a complete range of your political life? When was the last time you counted your blessings from APC? If all the answers show that you have not done that, then I need to advise you to do it today. Be grateful and thankful with the APC party, then when the time is appropriate, move out, and appreciate these things to person like late Shiaka P. Stevens and to the current APC party leadership. I will also advise that, you go up to your political partners and each of your former APC supporters, tell them how much you missed them and appreciate them. In addition, do not do it once, but rather do it often. Tell them also how the former APC leaders saved your live.

Be thankful to the APC government that you have a couch to sleep on instead of sleeping on a floor. Be grateful to our current political leader that you have light in the city and plenty of food to eat. Be thankful to the APC that your vehicle does not break down today; be thankful that you at least have a car.  

Having pride, greed and political ambition alone will not bring happiness into your life. You use to enjoy the works of the party and worked to establish the blue print of the APC.  Be thankful for what this APC party had already done for you.

There are children running and playing in the woods right now, somewhere in the world, who are enjoying life and having more fun than children in your village because you misused what APC gave you to build your own very community

APC rescued you from bondage and gave you the highest position in the land, yet still you are not appreciative. The best things in life are yours, if you cannot appreciate yourself, and start counting your blessings on what the APC had done for you, and then you are unpatriotic.
