Three Sierra Leonean Pilgrims Win Hajj Quiz in Mecca

Three Sierra Leonean pilgrims have won the Hajj quiz competition organised by Islamic scholars attached to the Ministry of Religious Affairs.The competition was held at Masjid Bukhari, in Mecca.Participants from various countries including Mali Guinea, Nigeria, Senegal, Indonesia, Korea, Turkey, India and some Arabs from the Gulf States.
At the end of the competition three Sierra Leaneans excelled they are Sheikh Abdul Karim Kamara, the Chief Imam of the National Stadium Mosque, Alhaji Dauda AL-hazim Kamara a senior sport officer attached to the Ministry of Youth and Sport and Alhaji (Rtd) Supt. Stanley Ibrahim Jalloh former CPO of the Central Police Station .
Each of them were presented with Quran and other Islamic Literature books from the organisers. They commended for answering the questions posed to them and they wished good luck in their hajj.According to Sheikh Abdul Aziz a Uganda national working with the Ministry of Religious Affairs as an interpreter, said the aimed of the quiz competition was to sensitize the pilgrims about hajj. He said prior to the quiz competition they were offering them lectures pertaining to the hajj on a daily basis during the prayers. They also distribute books about hajj to the pilgrims
