FM Kalleone Radio Celebrates First Anniversary in Sierra Leone

Popular Freetown FM Kalleone Radio will celebrate its first year anniversary on Saturday 7th July at the Old School Complex at Hill Station in Freetown. In preparation for the celebrations, the station has line up series of programmes and events this week to mark its first year anniversary celebrations. The programme started with an oldies party on Sunday July 1st which was followed by a three day football friendly match that ended yesterday. Today a special dinner would be hosted for invited guests while Saturday 7th July will be climaxed with a jam splash and kiddies party. It is a whole business of entertainment, fun and pleasure.
Since its inception, the Kalleone Radio has done lot in informing and entertaining the public in Freetown and some parts of the country where it is heard.
The station informs people about everyday developments in sports in the city.
Its sports programmes are so updated that they have captured the attention of the listening public that tunes to Kalleone Radio daily.
With renown and experienced local Disc Jockeys and presenters such as Abu Bakarr Kanu ABK, Daphne Grant, Joseph Kamanda, Lady Liz and a host of others, Kalleon which is situated at the old school compound over looking the city has done much in promoting not only football and music but people in the sporting world.
The station is established and owned by Sierra Leone’s football and FC Monaco star Mohamed Kallon, whose name Kalleone Radio was derived. Mr. Kallon has invested in the country since he became an international footballer representing the image of the country.
In partnership with DJ Box, a local music promoter, the duo is the proud owners of the Kallbox Record Label that produces and promotes local musicians throughout the country. Groups such as Jungle Leaders, K-man, and Shady of ‘Baby Gal’ fame came to the music scene through the duo’s label.
Kalleone Radio is presently the most informed station when it comes to sporting activities and music.
