Pres Kabbah Turns George Banda-Thomas into a Ghost
Posted by on Jun 20, 2007, 14:46

Folks, where is George Banda-Thomas? Bee has travelled all over this country looking for this great son of the soil, a true friend of great old Bee, and he has not seen him.

Folks can remember that GBT was Kabbah’s Minister of Trade and Industry who was sacked in the second inning of the SLPP.

He was again appointed Minister of Internal Affairs and Bee warned him not to accept the offer but he said he wanted to work for his country.

So Banda worked for his country but because of his support for Charles Margai in the September 2005 SLPP Convention, Kabbah threw him out again.

Now GBT is avoiding even his good old friend Bee.

But one mischievous Beelet has found out GBT in his hideout still licking his wounds.

He told this little Beelet that if he had listened to the old wise Bee he would by now be moving around freely having fun but now he is ashamed to appear in public.

Oh politics! It chops its players when they think they are safe. Ask Prince Harding.

This is why Bee is going to tell you the story of how GBT and others made Kabbah president.

FBC: Where are the Grants in Aid?

Bee continues to receive persistent complaints from hard pressed and highly frustrated students at Fourah Bay for grants-in-aid for two years running now.

And the worries the students have are that some of them will be graduating this year so what will happen to their monies?

At the finance department up Aureole, an official told Bee that they are yet to receive monies from the finance department though the Ministry of Finance says it has remitted the monies into the FBC accounts. Well, who is saying the truth?

Rumours have it that it is a game most times played by the finance department at the college so that at the end of the day these monies are collected and shared among some officials in both the Finance and Education Ministries.

Bee would like either the Education Minster Wurie or Finance Minister John Benjamin to make a public statement about these grants before college closes for holidays.

Max Thompson boost

Pentagon and Portor farmers

More than three hundred farmers in the Pentagon and Porters communities in Lumley and Juba on Friday, June 15 smiled when they received about sixty bushels of seed rice and a huge amount of farming tools from the All Peoples Congress aspirant for the area, Max Thompson.

A master farmer with numerous awards, Max Thompson believes food security is the backbone of any society so he says he wants these farmers to start feeding their communities and even this nation.

Bee learned that this gesture is the fist of its kind as the people of these communities say they have been constantly lied to by politicians after politicians.

They described Max Thompson as an honest, God fearing, patriotic Sierra Leone who is the type of people needed to lead this country to prosperity and happiness.

They vowed to surely put him into parliament.

Max says this presentation was just the beginning as greater things will follow.

“Wait let the APC win and you will see how we will improve your lives. We will surely take this nation in a new direction”, he stressed.

Bee agrees with this man of action that the primaries will take place today, and sure as Bee stings and nectarises, he will be there to give nectar to Max Thompson as he wins in grand style.
