Like all people with disabilities the names Lois Curtis and Elaine Wilson would never have been known in America had it not been for the 1999 Supreme Court decision resulted from the “Olmstead Vs. Louis Curtis and Elaine Wilson” case.These two women were born with disabilities and from an early age they were confined to the Georgia Regional Center, the largest mental institution in Georgia.
